Southstar shuttles operates in Rotorua,and Christchurch. In Christchurch Southstar shuttles gets you to the top of Vic Park trail network in the Port Hills. There is a cool mixture of easy and more difficult trails in Vic Park with something to suit everyone. In Christchurch you can use the shuttle to extend an xc ride, or rack up some descents on a downhill rig.

When & where

Southstar shuttles run Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays 9.30am - 4pm. The Christchurch shuttle runs Wednesday and Friday evenings during daylight saving (daylight saving restarts 27/9/09) 4pm till dark. ,The chch shuttle will shut for the winter, from Tues 8th Jun, restarting Wed 29th Sept.

The Christchurch shuttle leaves from the corner of Bowenvale Ave and Sunshine Terrace (google map), weekends starting at 9.30am and every 40 mins through the morning. It breaks for lunch around 1pm and restarts from the bottom at 1.30pm, last pick-up 3.30pm. The Wed and Fri night shuttle leaves 4pm and typically does 4-5 uplifts before dark.

The shuttle does not operate when Christchurch City Council shuts the park, their tracks website is here. The general rule is if it's raining the shuttle isn't operating. If it's been raining overnight and fines up mid-morning, we often run for the afternoon.
